Hi All,
I read with interest Peter's question about vista drivers for unix
filesystems. I'm looking for a similar but different solution at
the moment.
My goal is to use a USB based drive that is compatible on Mac OS
X 10.4, NetBSD, and if possible Linux and Windows as well. Would
like to see standard unix permissions, but not 100% sure that will
be required. The main requirement is ability to use hardlink type
backups (rsync snapshots).
Is there a FS out there that can do that and works everywhere?
Or, maybe better question, how can I get closest to these
requirements? Was thinking maybe put a unix "block device as a
file" on a dos filesystem, at least that way I can move it across
systems, but may well be too complicated to use efficiently.
What I'm doing is cloud/virtual host development on a Mac that
I'd like to backup and also be available to my NetBSD host, and
possibly others.
